Hyderabad, March 30 (NationPress) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced on Sunday that the envisioned Future City close to Hyderabad is set to become a significant investment hub within the nation.
During the main official ceremony celebrating Ugadi, the Telugu New Year, at Ravindra Bharati in Hyderabad, Revanth Reddy highlighted that the advancement of Future City will create job opportunities for millions.
Stressing the importance of constructing new cities to drive the country's progress, he mentioned that Future City is designed with the aim of enhancing Telangana's growth. "It will not merely be a city for residence; it will transform into an investment destination," he remarked.
He asserted that 'Telangana Rising' is achieving remarkable feats, and the government is committed to making Telangana a model for the entire nation.
Revanth Reddy likened the annual budget for 2025-2026, introduced by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, to 'Ugadi Pachadi'. He indicated that the state government aims to boost revenues and distribute them among the underprivileged. He noted that the budget prioritizes agriculture, education, health, and infrastructure.
The Chief Minister emphasized that improved law and order is essential to attract investments into the state. He reaffirmed the commitment to initiate the Musi River rejuvenation project.
In response to the opposition's remarks regarding the Musi River project, he stated that development inevitably brings challenges. "No policy will enjoy universal support," he mentioned.
Extending his best wishes to the people of Telangana on 'Vishwavasu Nama' Ugadi, Revanth Reddy expressed hopes for growth in both welfare and development, along with abundant job opportunities.
He announced that the state government is launching a scheme to provide high-quality rice to the poor, recalling that it was the Congress government that implemented the Food Security Act to combat hunger among the impoverished.
He pointed out that Telangana ranks first in the nation for paddy production, with the state producing 1.56 lakh tonnes of paddy last year, a feat not achieved even during the undivided Andhra Pradesh era.
The government is also offering bonuses to farmers cultivating high-quality paddy, stating that 60-65 percent of farmers in the state are growing premium rice.
Deputy Chief Minister Vikramarka, along with state ministers and senior officials, participated in the event.
