Key Takeaways
New Delhi, Feb 20 (NationPress) The AI Impact Summit 2026, a five-day event held in the capital, showcased remarkable innovations aimed at fast-tracking the country's energy sector's digital transformation.
Vidyut AI, a key initiative by GNA Energy Private Limited, emerged as a standout Artificial Intelligence (AI) solution, captivating both exhibitors and attendees.
This application consolidates power market data, facilitates demand forecasting, and conducts price analysis using artificial intelligence, all accessible on a single platform.
Paru Agarwal, the product manager at GNA Energy, shared with IANS that the product was unveiled at the AI Summit to demonstrate its versatile features and its ability to integrate multiple functions into one platform.
He emphasized that the application encompasses all market insights and intelligence collected by the company.
Agarwal elaborated that the firm operates on two main fronts: “Firstly, we have an over-the-counter platform for trading, and secondly, we provide essential intelligence to SLDCs, Power Purchase Committees, Discoms, and CNI consumers.”
He pointed out that digitizing data remains a significant hurdle for the energy sector.
“The company has amalgamated all these sources to create a central data repository, endeavoring to systematically organize this data while considering the Indian energy landscape,” he detailed.
Agarwal also mentioned that the company specializes in demand forecasting, which includes both intra-day and long-term forecasts spanning one to ten years, utilizing deep learning and neural network models.
Recently, they have also incorporated encoder, decoder, and transformer models into their system.
He remarked that AI has been integral to the industry for years, but this summit offers a chance for stakeholders to grasp its full potential.
He stated that attendees are increasingly aware of how impactful routine bills, data collection, and minor processes can be. This summit is clarifying the rapid adoption of AI both in India and globally, revealing vast opportunities ahead.
Agarwal explained the Ministry of Power's role in providing essential guidance, regulations, and a robust framework for startups and organizations, noting that many companies present are thriving under its support, fostering innovation.
