Chandigarh, Nov 12 (NationPress) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday urged officials to guarantee that all significant infrastructure and public utility initiatives launched this year are completed within the designated timeframe while adhering to established standards and quality criteria.
He noted that the prompt completion of these projects will allow citizens to reap the benefits as soon as possible.
The Chief Minister also mandated that all relevant departments must routinely generate monthly review reports of these projects and post them on the state Pragati Dashboard. This approach, he emphasized, will not only promote transparency but also enable constant monitoring of the implementation pace.
Chairing a meeting to assess the progress of mega projects costing over Rs 75 crore at the State Pragati Dashboard, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of addressing project delays, which lead to escalated costs, with utmost seriousness, insisting that responsible officials be held accountable. He instructed departments to swiftly tackle barriers to project execution and prioritize development projects to ensure timely public access to these services.
It was reported that approximately 91 percent of the construction work for the Government Medical College in Jind has been completed, with a target completion by the end of December next year. Similarly, 95 percent of the construction for the War Memorial honoring the First War of Independence in Ambala Cantonment has been finalized and is anticipated to be fully operational by January next year.
CM Saini reiterated the government’s dedication to the timely completion of all development projects that serve the public interest.
He also evaluated the progress of other mega projects on the Pragati Portal, including the upgrade of the War Memorial stadium in Ambala, the Mother and Child Hospital and service block at B.K. (Civil) Hospital, Faridabad, and the construction of a two-lane with paved shoulder and a four-lane elevated road on the Delhi-Agra route.
