Chandigarh, Sep 6 (NationPress) On Saturday, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini emphasized the need for a unified approach to tackle the flooding crisis in Punjab. He affirmed that Haryana is committed to supporting Punjab during this challenging time, with relief supplies being dispatched to the affected regions.
The Chief Minister informed the press that the state government is diligently monitoring the aftermath of the recent rains. “Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, our double-engine government is dedicated to the welfare of farmers. Previously, we provided compensation to affected farmers, and we will do so again this time,” he stated.
Saini reassured that the government stands with the citizens, having launched the e-Kshatipurti portal for impacted farmers. To date, 169,738 farmers from 2,897 villages have registered for assistance covering over 9.96 lakh acres. Following verification, necessary actions will be taken.
The Chief Minister also criticized the Congress party, asserting that they are losing political ground. “Initially, they questioned the EVMs, then claimed threats to the Constitution and democracy, and now they’re alleging vote theft,” he remarked.
Saini pointed out that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi spoke of stolen votes while displaying empty pockets in Parliament. He contended that the Congress party’s empty pockets are a result of their own actions, and the public has recognized their true nature.
“Today, Congress lacks direction and is merely searching for political relevance. The Prime Minister has made several beneficial decisions for the people, yet neither Congress nor the INDIA alliance has acknowledged any of them. This reveals their mindset,” he added.
Regarding the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms introduced by Prime Minister Modi, CM Saini noted their implementation within a month’s time. He referred to these reforms as a testament to Modi’s reliability, marking a significant step towards achieving an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Saini concluded by stating that these changes will significantly contribute to the realization of the Prime Minister's vision for swadeshi and Make in India.
