He emphasized that the best ecosystem in biosciences, biotech, and life sciences is being cultivated here.

In his address at the inauguration of 'BioAsia 2025', Revanth Reddy mentioned that the government has devised plans to transform Hyderabad into a center for innovation, research and development, manufacturing, and skill enhancement.

Highlighting the launch of US-based biopharma giant Amgen's new technology and innovation center in Hyderabad, he noted that this serves as proof of the state government's dedication to advancing the life sciences sector.

He encouraged global companies to take advantage of the opportunities in Telangana and collaborate with the state. "Our government is devoted to offering simplified industrial policies, infrastructure, and extensive support," he affirmed.

The Chief Minister revealed that the government attracted investments exceeding Rs 40,000 crore in the life sciences sector last year, spread across 150 projects.

He informed delegates that the government is establishing Pharma Villages between the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and the upcoming Regional Ring Road (RRR), anticipating the creation of over five lakh new jobs. The Green Pharma City, a significant initiative under the Future City project, is expanding rapidly. Major pharmaceutical companies have already signed MoUs with the Telangana government," he stated.

He acknowledged that German firm Milten Biotech has launched its cell and gene therapy in Genome Valley. He also welcomed four additional multinational companies formally joining the ecosystem at BioAsia.

He asserted that over the past 25 years, Hyderabad has evolved into a powerhouse of pharma manufacturing, IT, and digital health. Last year, the government hosted the AI Healthcare Summit.

Revanth Reddy remarked that BioAsia has positioned Hyderabad as the capital of life sciences globally, attracting participants from across the nation and beyond.

He mentioned that many esteemed pharma, healthcare, life science, and biotech companies operate in Hyderabad. The state government is focused on promoting institutions dedicated to research and innovation, having invested in higher education to produce numerous scientists, technologists, and engineers in relevant fields. The government also established Genome Valley, a cluster of life sciences firms and research organizations.

The Chief Minister asserted that Telangana ranks first in India for attracting investments domestically and internationally, boasting the lowest inflation and the highest job creation.

The state secured investments totaling Rs 1.80 lakh crore at the recent World Economic Forum in Davos, which is expected to generate around 50,000 jobs across various sectors.

Revanth Reddy declared that his government aims to establish Telangana as a trillion-dollar economy within the next decade, prioritizing the services sector in the Hyderabad Core Urban City Area and embarking on numerous major projects, including Future City and AI City.

He also claimed that Hyderabad is recognized as the capital of electric vehicles in India, having recorded the highest sales of electric vehicles nationwide.

He announced plans for a manufacturing hub between the Outer Ring Road and the Regional Ring Road outside the core city, which will be one of the largest manufacturing centers globally, designed to cater to the 'China Plus One' strategy.

As Telangana is a landlocked state, the government also envisions developing a Mega Dry Port and enhancing specialized rail and road transport facilities to connect with seaports in Andhra Pradesh, he added.
