Prayagraj, Jan 12 (NationPress) A spectacular water laser show that highlights significant events of the Mahakumbh 2025 was officially launched by the Industrial Development Minister, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, at the Yamuna Bank Ghat in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj.

The mesmerizing water laser show lasted for 45 minutes and was developed at an investment of around Rs 20 crore.

Crafted by a dedicated team of approximately 100 individuals in just 60 days, this show is a testament to modern creativity.

The private firm responsible for this initiative had previously conducted similar water laser displays in Ayodhya and Jhansi.

During the launch, Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi praised the show as a historical and visually captivating experience, emphasizing its aesthetic appeal.

Taking to the social media platform X, Minister Nandi announced that the water laser show would run daily, featuring the Kumbh Katha on the water screen.

"Under the capable guidance of Uttar Pradesh Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh, the water laser show of the Tourism Department, constructed at a cost of Rs 22 crore at Kali Ghat on Yamuna Bank Road, was inaugurated today with a ceremonial Puja and a button press. It will be operational daily, showcasing the Kumbh Katha on the water screen," Nandi expressed.

"Present during the occasion were Regional Tourism Officer Aparajita Singh, Uttar Pradesh PCL General Manager Suresh Yadav, Project Manager Rajesh Sharma, APM Ganesh Prasad, and Suraj Babu," the post detailed.

The Minister also stated that this show would offer an enthralling and visually stunning experience for tourists attending the Mahakumbh.

"This water laser show will provide an attractive and visually captivating experience for tourists visiting the Mahakumbh. This presentation, adorned with a splendid blend of water and light, will enhance the grandeur of Mahakumbh, allowing the audience to witness a unique fusion of spirituality and modern technology," the post further elaborated.

The Mahakumbh occurs once every 12 years, with an expected attendance of over 45 crore devotees.

During the Mahakumbh, devotees will converge at the Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet, to partake in a sacred dip.

The Mahakumbh is set to conclude on February 26.

The primary bathing rituals, known as Shahi Snan, will take place on January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3 (Basant Panchami).
