Uttar Pradesh Ministers Extend Invitation to Haryana's Governor and Chief Minister for Mahakumbh 2025

Chandigarh, Dec 24 (NationPress) The government of Uttar Pradesh is committed to establishing Mahakumbh 2025 as a true emblem of India's cultural cohesion.
To support this initiative, Minister for Industrial Development Nand Gopal Gupta 'Nandi' and Minister of State for Industrial Development Jaswant Singh Saini spearheaded a roadshow in the region.
They emphasized that the Mahakumbh is a distinctive celebration of unity amid India's diversity and formally invited Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, along with the public, to join in the Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025.
Minister Gupta highlighted that the government is implementing substantial measures to ensure the event is historic, featuring international participation and cutting-edge facilities.
Addressing the media following the roadshow, he stated that the Mahakumbh “embodies the spirit of India's cultural and spiritual consciousness and is a divine and vibrant representation of 'Ek Bharat-Shreshth Bharat-Samaveshi Bharat' (One India, Great India, Inclusive India)”.
“Many of you may have experienced the 'divine and grand' Prayagraj Kumbh in 2019, which became an unforgettable symbol of India's cultural pride on the global stage. The efficient management of that event received widespread recognition worldwide,” he remarked.
He assured that this year's Mahakumbh will exceed the previous one in both grandeur and divine essence.
“The Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025 is anticipated to attract over 450 million pilgrims, saints, ascetics, and tourists. The Uttar Pradesh government has made detailed and timely preparations for this occasion,” he added.
He mentioned that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Mahakumbh is scheduled to be held in Prayagraj from January 13 to February 26, on the sacred banks of the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers.
Recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the Mahakumbh will return to the holy land of Prayag after a 12-year hiatus.
Minister Gupta stated that it would be a clean, healthy, safe, and digital Mahakumbh.
A commitment has been made to ensure the event is environment-friendly by designating it as a single-use plastic-free Mahakumbh.
As part of this initiative, designated stalls for 'dona-pattal' vendors will be established within the Mela area, and discussions have been held with the principals of 400 schools to promote cleanliness. The initiative for a clean Maha Kumbh is being communicated to four lakh children.
