Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed his respects on social media, referring to these revolutionaries as "epoch-making figures" who inspired the youth to fight for the liberation of the nation through both their beliefs and deeds.
He further stated, "The resonance of their bravery instilled fear in the heart of the British regime. Remembering the heroic tales of these gallant souls who faced the noose for India's freedom fills me with a deep sense of patriotism."
Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda remarked on this 'Shaheedi Diwas' with heartfelt tributes to the "immortal martyrs" Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev Ji, who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of their homeland.
"Their courage and resolve ignited a revolutionary spirit among millions of youth across India, marking a pivotal moment in the freedom struggle. The dedication of these great martyrs continues to inspire us all," he added.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also honored Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru by calling them "immortal sons of Mother India," praising their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to liberating the nation.
"The patriotism and sacrifices of these remarkable revolutionaries will inspire future generations," Singh affirmed.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar remarked on Shaheedi Diwas, paying tribute to the indomitable spirits of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev, noting their extraordinary courage and commitment to the nation continues to inspire.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the eternal sacrifice of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru, who he said "ignited the revolutionary flame," creating a "golden chapter" in the history of India.
"Their bravery, commitment, and spirit of patriotism will motivate us with the mantra of 'Nation First' for generations to come. On this Shaheedi Diwas, I pay my humble respects to these courageous martyrs," the Uttar Pradesh CM stated.
Delhi CM Rekha Gupta also took to social media to honor Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru, stating, "Their ultimate sacrifice for the nation's unity and integrity will always be remembered in the annals of Indian history. The principles of these eternal sons continue to inspire us to remain dedicated to public service and nation-building."
Members of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA), including Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev, aimed to avenge Lala Lajpat Rai’s death by targeting British officer James Scott, resulting in the Saunders shooting in 1928.
Subsequently, they threw bombs in the Central Assembly to demand independence, leading to their arrest and subsequent death sentences.
Fueled by socialist ideals, they believed that their ultimate sacrifice would spark a significant revolutionary movement against colonial rule.
