What Message Does Op Sindoor Outreach's Third All-Party Delegation Led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Bring to Moscow?

Moscow, May 23 (NationPress) The third high-level, all-party delegation led by DMK MP Kanimozhi has landed in Moscow, emphasizing India's unwavering commitment to combat terrorism in all its forms, as stated by the Indian Embassy in Moscow on Friday.

Upon arrival, the delegation was greeted by India's Ambassador to Russia, Vinay Kumar.

The embassy reported, "All-Party Delegation headed by Member of Parliament Kanimozhi Karunanidhi @KanimozhiDMK has reached Moscow to express India's firm stance against terrorism in all its forms," in a statement posted on X.

This marks the third delegation dispatched by the Indian government as part of the global outreach initiative under Operation Sindoor, aimed at exposing Pakistan and the terrorist factions operating from its territory.

Upon their arrival at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport, Members of Parliament Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, Rajeev Rai, Captain Brijesh Chowta, Prem Chand Gupta, Ashok Kumar Mittal, and former Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri were welcomed by India's Ambassador to the Russian Federation, H.E. Vinay Kumar.

The embassy further revealed, "A packed schedule of meetings and discussions is planned for May 23-24, 2025."

In a prior post on X, the Indian Embassy in Moscow stated, "In line with the Indian government's ongoing initiatives under Operation Sindoor and to reinforce India's principled and steadfast stance against the threat of terrorism, an All-Party Delegation, including Members of Parliament and a senior diplomat, is visiting the Russian Federation from May 22 to May 24, 2025. The delegation aims to communicate the nation's strong message of zero tolerance for terrorism in all its forms and manifestations."

The delegation is set to engage with senior officials from the Federation Council (Upper House) and the State Duma (Lower House) of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other significant stakeholders in think tanks and media during their stay.

The delegation, led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, includes Samajwadi Party MP Rajeev Rai, BJP MP Captain Brijesh Chowta (Retd.), RJD MP Prem Chand Gupta, AAP MP Ashok Kumar Mittal, and former Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri.

Before departing for Moscow, Kanimozhi shared on X, "Leaving with the delegation members to Moscow. @RajeevRai @CaptBrijesh @DrAshokKMittal @ambmanjeevpuri @JawedAshraf5 @MianAltafAhmad."

Earlier, Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal announced on X that the third all-party delegation led by DMK MP will visit Russia, Slovenia, Greece, Latvia, and Spain.

The all-party delegation aims to showcase India's national consensus and determined approach to fighting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. It seeks to convey a robust message of zero tolerance for terrorism to the global community.

India initiated Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.

Precision strikes were executed on terror infrastructure located in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The Indian Armed Forces effectively countered subsequent Pakistani aggression, targeting its airbases.

Both nations have agreed to halt military actions following a communication from Pakistan's DGMO to his Indian counterpart.

Previously, two groups of high-level, multi-party delegations traveled to Japan and the United Arab Emirates as part of a five-nation tour.

This initiative aims to create a global consensus against terrorism and isolate Pakistan alongside the terrorism-supporting groups originating from its territory.

The all-party delegation led by Janata Dal (United) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha arrived in Tokyo on Thursday, marking the commencement of India's extensive diplomatic outreach under Operation Sindoor.

The delegation consists of BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi and Brij Lal, Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee, CPI(M) Rajya Sabha member John Barittas, and senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid. After their engagements in Japan, they will proceed to South Korea (May 24), Singapore (May 27), Indonesia (May 28), and Malaysia (May 31).

The second delegation, led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, departed the national capital on Wednesday, currently visiting the UAE before heading to Liberia, Congo, and Sierra Leone. This group comprises BJP MPs Bansuri Swaraj, Atul Garg, and Manan Kumar Mishra, alongside BJD’s Sasmit Patra, IUML MP E.T. Mohammed Basheer, BJP leader S.S. Ahluwalia, and former Ambassador Sujan Chinoy.

India's Operation Sindoor Outreach aims to underline Pakistan's role in promoting cross-border terrorism, with a total of seven delegations comprising 59 Members of Parliament, former ministers, and diplomats visiting 33 countries between May 21 and June 5.
