Shimla, Aug 12 (NationPress) The President of the Himachal Pradesh BJP, Rajiv Bindal, asserted on Tuesday that those who reference the Constitution are, in fact, the ones plotting to undermine its fundamental institutions.
Bindal remarked, “The Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, the Congress state chief Pratibha Singh, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu, and the entire Congress party are attempting to incite chaos in the nation by making unfounded claims against a neutral body like the Election Commission.”
He accused them of politicizing a routine process such as the Special Revised Voter List (SIR) to engage in vote bank politics that benefits infiltrators.
“The reality is that they are distressed by the loss of power from their family,” he claimed.
Former state minister Bindal noted that the members of the INDIA Block, particularly Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, frequently invoke the Constitution these days.
“The nation is witnessing that if anyone is engaging in the most anti-constitutional activities, it’s Rahul Gandhi. The aimless Congress finds itself in a quandary. The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) is not a novel occurrence; it’s a standard operation of the Election Commission nationwide. Since independence, the Election Commission has maintained an independent and ongoing method to refine and organize the voter list,” stated the BJP leader.
“The Congress party disseminates falsehoods about EVMs… sometimes they raise issues regarding Maharashtra, sometimes about Haryana, fabricating a new mountain of lies. Currently, Congress leaders are labeling the Lok Sabha elections conducted in Himachal Pradesh as fraudulent; both the state president and the Chief Minister of Congress are collaborating to propagate the narrative issued by the central Congress party among the public,” he added.
He stated that the Congress has reached a point of despair following a series of defeats in multiple states, particularly in 2014, 2019, and 2024. They lack a clear agenda or policy. As a reactionary force, they are orchestrating their political maneuvers.
“Initially, Congress made EVMs an issue, then they misrepresented the Rafale deal, and later supported China in our border disputes. They questioned the integrity of the Indian Army and India's sovereignty, an issue that the judiciary would hardly comment on so harshly regarding any political figure in independent India. This raises the question, whose side are you on? The public is attentive and desires to hear your stance,” Bindal concluded.
