Jagan Calls on YSRCP Members to Strengthen Social Media Engagement

Amaravati, Jan 8 (NationPress) The former Chief Minister and President of YSR Congress Party, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, emphasized on Wednesday the necessity for party members to promote unity and establish a dominant presence on social media platforms to counter false narratives and highlight the party's accomplishments.
During a meeting with the cadres from the Nellore district, he urged them to structure district, constituency, and Mandal committees by Sankranti, aiming for a strong grassroots framework. Jagan highlighted the critical role of social media in addressing opposition claims and biased media coverage.
“Our smartphones serve as our tools in this battle. Each member must engage actively on platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube to showcase our achievements and shed light on the shortcomings of the ruling coalition,” he stated. He pointed out the failures of the current government, underlining its inability to fulfill election commitments.
“Typically, administrations are allowed a year to establish themselves, yet this coalition has squandered public confidence in merely seven months. Promises have been disregarded, and discussions about this deception are prevalent in every household,” Jagan remarked, contrasting this with his administration’s focus on accountability and transparency.
Jagan recounted the welfare initiatives of his government, which include expanding Aarogyasri healthcare coverage and ensuring prompt financial support through schemes like Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena. “Our government has delivered on 99 percent of the commitments in the 2019 manifesto, an achievement unmatched by any other administration in the nation,” he affirmed.
“Our manifesto wasn’t simply a document but a pledge, executed with a detailed timeline released alongside the budget. Financial assistance was provided directly to the populace each month,” he added, contrasting this with the TDP government's shortcomings.
Jagan criticized Chandrababu Naidu for betraying the populace through unfulfilled promises, excessive debt, and regressive policies. “Naidu's leadership resulted in a debt burden of Rs 15,000 crore on the people, imposed toll taxes on rural roads, and increased registration fees for land and housing,” he stated.
The former Chief Minister reassured party members of his steadfast support, asserting, “We will back every worker facing injustice. Those who have wronged our people and members will be prosecuted under the law. I assure you of protection against this government's unlawful actions.”
He also announced plans to visit various districts starting at the end of January or in February to engage with grassroots workers and bolster the party’s influence.
