Jaya Bachchan Claims BJP MPs Deserve Oscars for Their 'Acting' on Injuries

New Delhi, Dec 20 (NationPress) Samajwadi Party (SP) MP, Jaya Bachchan, asserted on Friday that the BJP MPs who were injured in a recent Parliament altercation were merely 'acting' and accused them of fabricating their injury claims, indicating that they should receive accolades for their performances.

These comments came in the wake of a heated clash on Thursday at the Parliament grounds during an INDIA bloc protest that opposed alleged disrespect towards Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Reports indicated that BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajpur sustained injuries during this incident.

The BJP has accused the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, of 'deliberately pushing' the BJP MPs, leading to their injuries.

Furthermore, Nagaland BJP MP Phangnon Konyak claimed that the LoP 'misbehaved' with her, leaving her feeling 'uncomfortable.'

In response, LoP Rahul Gandhi has refuted these claims, stating to media outlets that he too was pushed amidst the confrontation with the BJP MPs.

Addressing the accusations from the BJP MPs, Jaya Bachchan remarked, 'Sarangi ji is staging a drama. What did he even do during his time in Odisha?'

While speaking to reporters during the INDIA bloc's protest, she elaborated, 'We were moving towards the House, but these (NDA) leaders obstructed our path on the stairs. If someone experiences a slight push in such a scenario, it's natural for them to fall.'

Bachchan further stated, 'Sarangi ji, Rajpur ji, and the woman from Nagaland have showcased performances superior to anything I achieved in my acting career. They deserve Oscars and all accolades for their acting. This was as scripted as any film.'

Describing the uproar in Parliament as a 'man-made incident,' the SP Rajya Sabha MP accused the BJP of 'only knowing how to level baseless allegations.'

Meanwhile, the INDIA bloc conducted a protest march on Friday from Vijay Chowk to Parliament, demanding an apology and resignation from Union Home Minister Amit Shah over his remarks regarding Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, which they labeled as 'derogatory' and 'unacceptable.'

The Opposition further criticized the FIR filed against Rahul Gandhi, characterizing it as a diversionary tactic by the BJP. 'This FIR is an attempt to shift focus away from Amit Shah's derogatory remarks on Dr. Ambedkar,' alleged the INDIA bloc MPs.
