BJP MP Claims Rahul Gandhi Shoved Him; LoP Refutes Allegation

New Delhi, Dec 19 (NationPress) A tense encounter took place within the Parliament grounds on Thursday during a demonstration by Opposition MPs who were protesting against perceived disrespect towards Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The situation escalated dramatically when BJP MP Pratap Sarangi accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of shoving an MP, leading to a domino effect that caused Sarangi to fall and incur a head injury.
In a statement to IANS, Sarangi asserted, "Rahul Gandhi pushed an MP, resulting in a collision with me. I fell and struck my head, which is now bleeding. The push originated from Rahul Gandhi."
Rahul Gandhi refuted the allegations of intentionally pushing the BJP leader, explaining to reporters, "It might be captured on camera. BJP MPs obstructed our entry into Parliament. They blocked and threatened us. We have the right to protest."
The protest was organized in response to remarks made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the Rajya Sabha, which the Opposition deemed disrespectful to Dr. Ambedkar. The Opposition is demanding the removal of HM Shah from the Cabinet.
In the meantime, BJP MPs conducted a counter-protest, accusing Congress of showing disrespect towards the Constitution and Dr. Ambedkar. Led by BJP MP Anurag Thakur, they chanted slogans such as "Congress must apologise, India will not accept the insult to Ambedkar."
Thakur further condemned Congress, stating, "The Nehru-Gandhi family has consistently disrespected Dr. Ambedkar. Despite being the architect of the Constitution, they sought to defeat him in elections and delayed granting him the Bharat Ratna, which was ultimately awarded by a non-Congress administration."
