Patna, May 26 (NationPress) In a fierce political critique, JDU’s state general secretary, Saket Singh, accused RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav of deceiving the public under the banner of socialism and raised concerns about the authenticity of the party’s recent actions and slogans.
This statement comes in the light of the ongoing turmoil surrounding Tej Pratap Yadav's removal and the escalating verbal clashes between RJD and its opposition.
Singh delivered a biting critique, asserting that Lalu Prasad Yadav is misleading the citizens of Bihar while masquerading as a proponent of socialist values.
“He tweets during the day and makes calls at night, only to later express remorse. This isn’t socialism; it’s a form of trickery,” stated Singh, labeling Lalu's actions as a betrayal of public faith.
He also noted that while personal criticisms are typically avoided, Lalu's actions have crossed into the realm of societal and political significance due to his stature as a former Chief Minister and public figure.
“This transcends personal matters. He has held positions as a minister and MLA, and comes from a prominent political lineage. His actions carry social ramifications,” Singh remarked.
Saket Singh further criticized the RJD's ‘Mai Behan Maan Yojana’, questioning its genuineness and branding it simply as an electoral ploy.
“They parade around Patna with banners of 'Mai Behan Maan Yojana'. This is merely a campaign slogan,” he commented.
He drew a connection to Aishwarya Rai, the estranged wife of Tej Pratap Yadav, highlighting her political heritage as the granddaughter of former CM Daroga Prasad Rai, and questioned when her family would receive justice.
Saket Singh also expressed skepticism regarding Tej Pratap Yadav’s expulsion from RJD, challenging the procedural validity of the decision.
“They assert he has been expelled for six years. Where’s the evidence? Has the Speaker received any communication about his membership cancellation?” he probed.
In a pointed remark, Singh alluded to Sadhu Yadav, Lalu’s estranged brother-in-law, who has previously criticized the RJD leadership.
“Even Sadhu Yadav remarked that Lalu Prasad himself has contributed to damaging his own family’s reputation. These aren’t my words—they originate from his own family,” he stated.
