Bengaluru, Jan 1 (NationPress) In the quest to provide essential services to the populace, it is imperative for officials to act in a manner that is both secular and compassionate, stated Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during a meeting on Thursday. He called upon all stakeholders to strive for justice for individuals who have been denied social equity.
Addressing senior government officials while extending New Year wishes, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah emphasized the necessity for prompt delivery of government services and urged officials to engage with the public in a secular and humane manner.
He remarked that opposition parties often criticize without constructive purpose, adding that in a democratic framework, attention must be paid to the emotional states of the populace. In 2025, farmers received Rs 8,500 per hectare in compensation for agricultural losses due to drought and irrigation challenges, which has offered some relief, he concluded.
