Agra, April 12 (NationPress) The Karni Sena is preparing to hold a grand public gathering in Agra on Saturday to celebrate the birth anniversary of the 16th-century Rajput leader Rana Sanga.
This event, themed around 'Kshatriya Samman', will also act as a strong response to the recent controversial remarks made by Samajwadi Party MP Ramjilal Suman in Parliament.
To accommodate the anticipated audience, approximately 50,000 square metres of farmland has been cleared. Participants have been encouraged to bring flags and sticks to the rally.
The event has received authorization from the Agra Police, and is being conducted under the auspices of the Sanatan Hindu Mahasabha.
Enhanced security measures are in place throughout the city, featuring a three-tier security plan to ensure safety and prevent any disturbances.
Additionally, alerts have been issued to the homes of individuals who previously made inflammatory comments on social media regarding Rana Sanga.
On Thursday, members of the Karni Sena and the Kshatriya community conducted a Bhoomi Pujan ceremony at Rami Garhi village, symbolizing their cultural and spiritual readiness for the forthcoming event.
This rally ensues weeks after a controversy sparked by SP MP Ramjilal Suman's statements during a recent parliamentary session, where he questioned, 'If Muslims have Babur's DNA, then whose DNA is in Hindus? Who brought Babur? Babur was brought to India by Rana Sanga to defeat Ibrahim Lodi.'
His comments ignited outrage within the Rajput community, with BJP leaders, Karni Sena, and various Hindu organizations accusing Suman of disrespecting Rajput honor and Hindu sentiments.
Although Suman later claimed his comments were based on historical context and not meant to offend, the situation escalated. Furious members of the Karni Sena attacked the MP's residence in Agra.
Protests against Suman have also spread beyond Uttar Pradesh. In Udaipur, members of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena held a demonstration, chanting slogans and burning an effigy of the MP.
Arjun Singh Chundawat, President of the Karni Sena's Udaipur unit, announced a bounty of Rs 5.51 lakh for anyone who could silence the MP, further escalating tensions.
The Karni Sena asserts that Suman's comments are a direct insult to the legacy of Rana Sanga, who is celebrated as a symbol of Rajput bravery and resistance.
