New Delhi, Jan 17 (NationPress) During a recent assembly session, Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta unveiled the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report concerning the contentious video involving Atishi. In response, Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra proclaimed 'Satyamev Jayate' and asserted that the alleged infractions by the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly have now been substantiated. He further accused AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal of committing a bigger sin by misusing the Punjab Police to shield Atishi, whom he claimed had disrespected the Gurus.

Kapil Mishra expressed his thoughts on social media platform X, stating, “Satyamev Jayate. The forensic report disclosed by the Delhi Assembly Speaker is now public. The transgressions by Atishi in the Assembly have been verified. Kejriwal has committed a greater sin by using the Punjab Police to defend Atishi, who insulted the Gurus. The truth requires no evidence. The truth will always prevail.”

Earlier in the day, Gupta presented the FSL findings in the Assembly, emphasizing that the investigation concluded there was no alteration or tampering in the video.

During a press conference, Gupta remarked, “On January 8, 2026, during the Delhi Assembly session, the Opposition called for an investigation into the video footage, as doubts were raised regarding its authenticity. Responding to this request, the recording was sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory. I am presenting this clearly for your information: it is the verbatim record of that day. Both audio and video were provided to the FSL, adhering to all regulations and laws.”

Addressing the report's findings, the Speaker stated, “Regarding the authenticity of the video, we have received the FSL report. The laboratory has unequivocally confirmed no alterations or tampering occurred. It has been explicitly mentioned that there is no manipulation of any kind.”

Gupta further indicated that the Delhi Assembly had reached a unanimous decision to conduct a forensic analysis of the video. However, during this time, unexpected developments arose.

“On January 9, news surfaced that the Punjab government had already conducted its examination, finalizing its report, and even filed an FIR. Yet, the matter has now been fully clarified. The comprehensive forensic report we received clearly confirms no tampering occurred with the video and absolutely no manipulation,” he stated.

The Speaker emphasized that the report received by the Delhi Assembly highlighted the seriousness of the situation.

“The report demonstrates that, concerning the respect and honor of the Gurus, a political party has, in some manner, misused government agencies and compromised the Gurus' dignity. I urge the Leader of the Opposition to meet with me in my office. Otherwise, this issue will be taken very seriously in the future. They should acknowledge their error, retract their statements, and apologize,” he said.

The AAP party on Friday sought Breach of Privilege action against BJP minister Kapil Mishra after a Punjab court deemed a video circulated by him as fake and misleading.

AAP Chief Whip Sanjeev Jha, in a letter to Assembly Speaker Gupta, noted that the Jalandhar court mandated the immediate removal of the video from social media, revealing how it was utilized to damage Atishi's reputation by falsely depicting her as invoking the names of Sikh Guru Sahibs.

Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra declared on Thursday that he would not be cowed by the Punjab Police FIR regarding a complaint linked to a post about Atishi's alleged comments and questioned why the AAP leader was not presenting herself before the Privilege Committee of the Delhi Assembly.

A court in Jalandhar ruled on Thursday for the immediate removal and blocking of a video it labeled 'doctored,' featuring Atishi, determining that its distribution 'threatened public order' and 'religious harmony' in Punjab.

The court requested a compliance report on the removal order within ten days.
