New Delhi, Jan 27 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) criticized Arvind Kejriwal, labeling him as "anti-Dalit" and demanded that he travel to Punjab to express remorse for the desecration of the Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar Sthal. They insisted that he resign from his roles as a legislator and the national convenor of AAP.

BJP National Spokesperson and MP Sambit Patra stated, "A man attempted to vandalize the statue of Baba Saheb with a hammer in front of the police station, yet the police were conspicuously absent, raising serious doubts about the administration’s involvement in this incident."

Discussing the event in Amritsar that occurred on Sunday, Patra questioned what sort of conspiracy Kejriwal might be orchestrating, given that the statue of Ambedkar was damaged right under the watch of his party's administration and government, while all Aam Aadmi Party leaders have remained silent.

During the press conference intended to unveil Kejriwal's anti-Dalit stance, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva and MP Yogendra Chandolia were also present.

The BJP representatives condemned the act where an individual attempted to destroy the impressive 33-foot statue of B.R. Ambedkar, located in a bustling area of Amritsar, while the AAP government and police appeared to be mere bystanders.

Patra expressed that the incident, occurring on the day the nation celebrated the 76th Republic Day, was deeply disturbing.

He remarked that only a traitor would dare to attack the tallest statue of B.R. Ambedkar situated at a prominent intersection in Amritsar.

Further, he noted that this is not the first occasion Kejriwal has insulted Dalits, as he had previously promised to appoint a Dalit Deputy Chief Minister when his government was formed in Punjab, which he failed to deliver.

Patra concluded by stating that for a corrupt individual on bail like Kejriwal to compare himself to Bhim Rao Ambedkar is a profound disrespect to the nation.
