Patna, April 30 (NationPress) The founder of Jan Suraaj, Prashant Kishor, harshly criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday, branding him the “head of corruption” during a public rally in Jamui.
Speaking to a sizable audience at Shri Krishna Singh Memorial Stadium as part of his ongoing Jan Suraj Udghosh Yatra, Kishor accused both government officials and political leaders of being deeply involved in corruption.
“In Bihar, officials and leaders are demanding Rs 2,000 in bribes for ration cards and Rs 10,000 for land receipts, which has severely impacted the lives of everyday people,” Kishor stated.
He further remarked that Nitish Kumar appears to be exhausted and is managing his administration with retired officials who lack accountability to the public.
Kishor also took aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that the economic progress in states like Gujarat comes at the expense of Bihar’s resources and youth.
“PM Modi is establishing factories in every village of Gujarat, utilizing funds from all over the country, while children from Jamui and other parts of Bihar are compelled to migrate and work as laborers,” he asserted.
“When the vote is yours, where should the factory be established - in Gujarat or Bihar?” he questioned.
Kishor urged voters to move away from caste and religion-based politics and concentrate on key issues such as education, employment, and public welfare.
“This time, do not vote based on the leader’s face. Vote by considering the faces of your children. We must usher in a government of the people, not of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Nitish Kumar, or PM Modi,” he emphasized.
Kishor’s yatra through Jamui and Banka aims to generate grassroots support for Jan Suraj, positioning it as a people-centric alternative ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
