Patna, April 11 (NationPress) Chief of the Jan Suraaj Party, Prashant Kishor, on Friday unleashed a fierce criticism of Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, alleging that he intentionally obstructed public involvement in the highly publicized 'Bihar Badlav Rally' held at Gandhi Maidan.

Kishor claimed that essential routes leading to North Bihar—such as JP Setu (a two-lane bridge) and MG (a four-lane bridge)—were purposefully blocked to hinder his party's supporters from accessing the venue.

He remarked, "The same Pandit who performs the wedding can also do the Shraadh," relating to his part in orchestrating Nitish Kumar’s 2015 electoral success.

“I played a pivotal role in ensuring Nitish Kumar’s victory back in 2015 when he was politically down. Now, I am determined to conclude his political journey,” he asserted.

Criticizing the current administration, Kishor argued that Bihar had once put an end to Lalu Yadav's 'Jungle Raj', and it was now the time to dismantle the 'Officers' Jungle Raj' under Kumar’s governance.

He pointed out the government's response to the Bihar Public Service Commission protest and the rally as instances of systematic oppression.

Despite bold claims of attracting a "lakhs-strong” audience, the actual turnout at Gandhi Maidan fell significantly short of expectations.

The event experienced multiple rescheduling, beginning from an intended 2 p.m. start time, which was later moved to 6 p.m. from 3 p.m.

By the moment Kishor took to the stage at 6 p.m., numerous empty chairs were evident.

Kishor’s address concluded in a brief eight minutes, where he vowed to meet attendees personally.

Insiders suggest that the Jan Suraaj team is evaluating the factors contributing to the disappointing turnout.

The lack of attendance drew sharp criticism from opposing parties.

JD-U MLC Neeraj Kumar mocked the rally, labeling it "a gathering smaller than Patna's evening walkers."

In derision of Kishor's reputation, the JD-U MLC added, "His show is over, shutters down. He should return to Tamil Nadu."

RJD Spokesperson Ejaz Ahmed fiercely challenged Kishor, stating: "You aspire for power in Bihar with empty chairs? You lack connection with the state’s genuine issues. You are merely an event manager."

Ahmed also asserted that the leadership of RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav resonates more profoundly with the populace, citing a noticeable "wind of change" in Bihar.

Kishor's endeavor to make a dramatic electoral debut seems to have faltered, at least regarding mass engagement.

While the Jan Suraaj Party claims considerable groundwork throughout Bihar's districts, the rally's results indicate that translating outreach into electoral support might necessitate a stronger connection with grassroots concerns and a more effective strategy.
