Authorities have detained one individual, identified as Ashutosh Agarwal (36), who is currently under interrogation. Reports indicate that he has not provided a convincing reason for the source of the cash or the intent behind transporting such a significant amount, particularly as elections approach.
There are suspicions that the cash might have been illegally transported for electoral purposes. The police are diligently working to determine the intended destination and use of this money. The investigation is ongoing.
In accordance with legal procedures, the confiscated cash has been transferred to the Income Tax Department.
