Haveri (Karnataka), Feb 14 (NationPress) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated on Saturday that the Revenue Department is, for the second time, distributing title deeds to one lakh beneficiaries, having already issued title deeds to 2.20 lakh families, marking this as a remarkable achievement.

He emphasized that Karnataka's leading GDP ranking in India reflects the pro-people policies adopted by his administration.

This statement was made during the inauguration of the government’s 1,000-day celebration event, where he oversaw the distribution of title deeds to another one lakh beneficiaries in a program organized collaboratively by the district administration and the Revenue Department.

The Chief Minister commended Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, noting substantial advancements in the department since he took office.

“Our people-oriented government has propelled the state’s GDP to the forefront in the nation. Additionally, we are achieving unprecedented progress in GST tax collection,” Siddaramaiah asserted, bolstering his claims with supporting statistics.

He accused the Central government of injustices, expressing disappointment at the silence of former Chief Minister and current MP Basavaraj Bommai, along with Prahlad Joshi and Jagadish Shettar, on matters affecting Karnataka.

“Our government has now completed two years and nine months. Out of the commitments we made, we have fulfilled 243 assurances. The remaining promises will be honored during our term. Even from 2013 to 2018, we delivered on all our pledges and added 30 additional assurances that were not in the manifesto, demonstrating our commitment,” he remarked.

He criticized the BJP for disseminating misinformation about the state treasury being depleted, despite their failure to deliver on their own promises while in power.

“To date, we have transferred Rs 1.18 lakh crore directly to the people of the state through our guarantee schemes,” he highlighted.

Referring to evaluations by esteemed economists such as Amartya Sen and Abhijit Banerjee, along with studies from various newspapers and universities, the Chief Minister argued that attempts to mislead the public regarding the government’s performance are unfounded.

He reiterated his claim that the Central government has been unfair to the state by withholding essential funds.

“Our successful 1,000 days in office exemplify our dedication to pro-people governance,” Siddaramaiah concluded.

“Our administration has effectively completed 1,000 days, and the Congress government has consistently worked towards fulfilling its promises,” he reiterated.

He pledged the government's commitment to inclusive development, catering to individuals from all castes, religions, and linguistic groups, while striving to diminish inequality.

He accused the BJP of failing to meet its obligations during its governance and misleading the populace with political rhetoric.

Reaffirming his resolve, Siddaramaiah stated, “This 1,000-day achievement convention signifies our commitment. We stand with the underprivileged, Dalits, backward classes, minorities, women, and laborers.”

He further alleged that the state has suffered losses ranging from Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000 crore due to GST issues and claimed that Rs 15,000 crore allocated under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) remains unreleased by the Centre.

“If these funds are made available, numerous developmental projects can be initiated across the state,” he asserted.

He assured that the government would review the state’s financial standing and respond to development requests raised at the district level.

At the “Successful 1,000 Days in Public Service and Land Guarantee Dedication Convention,” officials who demonstrated exceptional performance were recognized.

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar; Ministers Krishna Byre Gowda, Shivanand Patil, H.K. Patil, Satish Jarkiholi, G. Parameshwara, and K.H. Muniyappa; Guarantee Implementation Committee Chairman H.M. Revanna; Chief Whip of the ruling party in the Legislative Council Saleem Ahmed; along with more than 20 MLAs and party leaders, were in attendance at the ceremony.
