Hyderabad, Sep 11 (NationPress) BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao has accused the Congress government of betraying the dreams of countless unemployed youths in Telangana by allegedly selling Group-I posts, and he has called for a judicial investigation.
KTR expressed his strong discontent towards ministers and the Chief Minister's Office, referring to widespread claims from students that substantial amounts of money were being solicited for job placements.
In his statement, KTR asserted that the state government effectively auctioned job positions, which shattered the aspirations of lakhs of candidates who dedicated years to preparing for competitive exams, utilizing their precious time and their parents' hard-earned money.
He urged the government to promptly address the serious allegations raised by Group-I candidates in the media, who claimed that crores of rupees had changed hands for job postings.
KTR highlighted previous directives from the High Court, demanding that the Group-I preliminary examination be conducted again in a transparent manner, ensuring no opportunities for malpractice. He insisted on the formation of a judicial commission to investigate extensive malpractices and uncover those responsible for selling government jobs.
Additionally, KTR called for a special Assembly session to discuss the Group-I scandal and hold the Congress government accountable. He emphasized that only a rigorous judicial inquiry and a transparent re-examination could provide justice to the unemployed youth and avert future scandals.
KTR asserted, "The Congress government has utterly failed in managing Group-I examinations, jeopardizing the future of unemployed youth."
He accused the government’s ineptitude, coupled with greed for money, as the root cause of these irregularities. "The Congress has betrayed the unemployed by selling jobs," KTR declared.
KTR contrasted this with the tenure of the BRS government, where he claimed recruitment was handled transparently.
He remarked, "Currently, the Congress has commodified recruitment, amassing crores of rupees for posts," warning that the youth will never forgive this betrayal.
The BRS leader demanded that the Congress government convene a special Assembly session to address its unfulfilled electoral promise of delivering two lakh jobs within a year.
He urged the government to acknowledge the gravity of the unemployment crisis and take genuine steps, rather than misleading the youth with empty promises.
