Hyderabad, Feb 23 (NationPress) Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao questioned on Sunday the reasons behind the BJP's 'shielding' of the Revanth Reddy government in Telangana.

The former minister expressed his concerns on 'X', stating, 'The question of why the BJP is protecting the Revanth Reddy government is truly a Million-dollar question.'

KTR, as he is commonly known, highlighted multiple instances where the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre did not intervene against the Congress administration in the state.

He pointed to evidence submitted regarding the AMRUT scam, where Revanth Reddy's 'unqualified brother-in-law' received a contract worth Rs 1,137 crore, yet the 'NDA government took no action'.

KTR also referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remarks on the collection of RR tax in the state, alleging that builders are paying Rs 150 per square foot as RR tax, with 'no action from the NDA government.'

He mentioned the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids on the Revenue Minister's premises, noting that substantial money was recovered, yet there had been 'no action from the NDA government' even after 150 days.

'We will see if the NDSA or any other national agency responds to the recent SLBC tunnel collapse or the Sunkishala retaining wall collapse,' KTR added.

KTR held Chief Minister Revanth Reddy responsible for the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel collapse in Nagarkurnool district, where two workers were injured and eight others remain trapped.

He noted that the SLBC tunnel incident occurred shortly after the collapse of the Sunkishala project wall, attributing both events to the government's 'failures'. He demanded a comprehensive investigation into the recent disaster.

The BRS leader urged the Centre to initiate an inquiry by the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) or another agency regarding both incidents.
