Bhopal, March 30 (NationPress) With the new academic year 2026–27 commencing on April 1, the government of Madhya Pradesh is set to initiate a comprehensive ‘School Chale Hum’ campaign, which will extend through April 4.

The School Education Department unveiled a thorough plan on Monday, engaging Ministers and public representatives to spearhead the campaign in their respective districts.

The official launch will be conducted by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav at a ceremony in Bhopal on April 1. A directive has been dispatched to all district collectors and education officials regarding the campaign.

This initiative will focus particularly on boosting student enrollment in the state's government schools. Madhya Pradesh is home to approximately 92,000 government institutions, encompassing primary, middle, high, and higher secondary levels, with nearly 8.5 million students currently enrolled.

Ministers will partake in the ‘Praveshotsav’ (enrollment festival) at selected schools during the campaign, alongside Members of Parliament (MPs), Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), and various public figures.

Efforts will be made to enroll children identified as out of school in nearby government-run institutions.

On the second day of the campaign, schools will host ‘Bhavishya Se Bhet’. This initiative will feature notable personalities from diverse fields as motivational speakers to interact with students.

“Local achievers, including athletes, authors, artists, media professionals, law enforcement officials, and government representatives, will engage with students. This initiative aims to inspire the youth,” stated an official.

District collectors have been tasked with ensuring that Class I and Class II officers visit at least one school to engage with students during a class session.

Cultural and sports events will be organized within schools, encouraging parental participation.

“The goal is to enhance the bond between parents and educational institutions. On the same day, academic staff will inform parents about various governmental schemes related to school education,” the official added.

Parents of students who achieved over 85% attendance in the previous academic year will be recognized during the events.

Additionally, students who faced challenges in advancing to the next grade will be identified, and parents will receive counseling to support their children's educational journeys and help them overcome obstacles.
