Bengaluru, Feb 20 (NationPress) Karnataka Police apprehended a madrasa in-charge in Bengaluru on Thursday for allegedly abusing his authority and brutally attacking young girls attending the school due to minor errors.

The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Kottanur police station on the outskirts of Bengaluru.

The individual taken into custody has been named as Mohammad Hassan.

As per police reports, Hassan operated a madrasa in Thanisandra, Bengaluru, and CCTV footage depicting the shocking assault has circulated widely on social media.

Officials revealed that Hassan’s sister served as the principal of the madrasa, and the attack transpired in her presence along with other staff members.

Parents of the victims have staged protests, demanding severe repercussions against Hassan.

A case has been filed against him at the Kottanur police station.

The madrasa has been functioning since 2012 and accommodates around 200 students.

The over two-minute CCTV clip captured Hassan and four staff members inside his office while the female students stood apprehensively at the door. He later seized a girl by her hair and dragged her into his office, proceeding to mercilessly beat her on the back.

The footage revealed Hassan twisting another girl’s hands forcefully. As she writhed in agony, he placed an object in her hand and squeezed it. The other students looked on in horror as he suddenly slapped the child on her face and repeatedly struck her on the head. When she fell to the ground, he kicked her multiple times. He also pressed another girl’s toes with his feet, instructing her to keep her legs together while applying full pressure. When she faltered, he caught her and continued to stomp on her toes.

The disturbing video has left parents horrified, raising significant concerns about the safety of their daughters in the madrasa.

The police have detained Hassan and are currently interrogating him.

Further details are anticipated as the investigation unfolds.
