Minister Kadam mentioned that rigorous measures are being implemented against Bangladeshi nationals who are residing and infiltrating illegally in Maharashtra.

He stated: "The state government and local police have initiated a targeted operation against illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators in Maharashtra. Actions are being taken against suspected individuals through local police stations. Recently, the Mumbai Police conducted raids in various locations, resulting in the arrest of 16 Bangladeshi nationals, all of whom were found to be residing illegally."

"Previously, 13 Bangladeshi individuals were apprehended in the Nalasopara region. These infiltrators had crossed into India from the West Bengal-Bangladesh border and began working as laborers in Mumbai. Legal cases have been filed against contractors who rented properties to Bangladeshi nationals within the jurisdiction of Thane city’s Nizampura, Manpada, and Kasarwadavali police stations," he continued.

The Minister indicated that cases have also been lodged against Bangladeshi nationals employed at a construction site using fraudulent documents under the jurisdiction of the Mahad Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation police station in Raigad district.

Additionally, three Bangladeshi nationals were discovered working as laborers at a stone crusher in Anwa of Jalna district, with legal actions taken against them as well.

"Two Bangladeshi citizens were found to be illegally residing within the limits of Kurar police station under Circle 12 of the Brihanmumbai Police Commissionerate. Both were employed at a construction site, leading to a case being registered against them, and an investigation is currently ongoing," he added.

BJP leader Ameet Satam remarked on the situation, noting that Bangladeshis and Rohingyas living in Mumbai and Maharashtra frequently work in labor-intensive roles such as construction."They are significantly involved in criminal activities, as evidenced by a recent attack on a Bollywood actor at his residence," he stated.
