Mumbai, Dec 6 (NationPress) Mangal Prabhat Lodha, the Minister of Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Maharashtra, strongly condemned those engaged in land encroachment and the acceptance of unlawful Rohingya and Bangladeshi migrants.
Minister Lodha asserted, "Our stance is unequivocal -- we do not seek forced or illegal guests. Rohingya and Bangladeshi illegal immigrants will not be eligible for benefits designed for Indian citizens. Neglecting illegal immigration could lead to the re-emergence of terrorists like Ajmal Kasab, potentially resulting in incidents akin to the Mumbai bomb blasts once more. There can be no compromise regarding Mumbai's security."
"Illegal immigration poses the greatest risk to the safety of our city. To avert Maharashtra from becoming a replica of Bengal, it is imperative for all segments of society to unite immediately; this is a critical necessity," he emphasized.
He further stated, "There is no room in Maharashtra for undocumented Bangladeshi or Rohingya immigrants, and we will show no tolerance towards encroachment on government property. It is our legal duty to reclaim public land. Any attempts to intimidate or coerce me regarding these actions will be futile; I will persist in my efforts to serve the people, irrespective of threats."
He highlighted, "Every official within the state's administration must have the autonomy to execute their political responsibilities. My obligation is to manage government land transparently, eliminate encroachments, and utilize these lands for societal benefit. This matter transcends political and religious boundaries; it is fundamentally about enforcing the law and sustaining order in Mumbai. My goal is to ensure that all government lands in Mumbai, particularly in Malvani, are free from encroachment."
He made these remarks while addressing a gathering after inaugurating the K.E.M. Citizen Health Training Centre in Malad-Malvani on Saturday.
During the commemoration of Mahaparinirvan Diwas, Minister Lodha proposed that the hospital be named in honor of Bharat Ratna B.R. Ambedkar as a tribute.
The hospital, which had been stalled for several years, was swiftly completed under the current MahaYuti government.
The Union government is set to enhance medical services significantly, with the capacity to treat nearly 400 patients at once.
Outfitted with cutting-edge equipment and essential amenities, it will provide high-quality healthcare to the public.
