Jaipur, March 13 (NationPress) The Rajasthan Police Special Operations Group (SOG) has uncovered a significant scandal in the Grade III Teacher Direct Recruitment Examination 2022. Candidates allegedly attempted to obtain government positions by using forged Taekwondo certificates and fabricated verification reports under the 'Outstanding Sportsperson' quota.

As reported by Vishal Bansal, Additional Director General of Police (SOG), a total of 20 individuals, comprising 19 candidates and one accomplice, were apprehended in relation to this fraudulent scheme.

On March 12, 2026, the SOG executed synchronized raids across 14 districts in Rajasthan and one location in Haryana, resulting in the arrest of those implicated in the alleged deception.

The investigation revealed that a counterfeit email account was established to impersonate the Taekwondo Federation of India, which was used to submit fraudulent verification reports for candidates that had provided fake sports certificates.

The scam was exposed when investigators found a screenshot of an email on an employee's mobile device that referenced the verification of sports certificates for 39 candidates.

During the examination of this evidence, officials noticed a typographical error in the word "Secretary," which raised doubts about the legitimacy of the email.

Further investigation disclosed that the fraudulent email account was created in Dubai and managed by Vimalendu Kumar Jha.

Upon this revelation, the SOG detained Jha along with his associate, Ravi Sharma.

Authorities also recovered the SIM card utilized to establish the fraudulent email account.

According to officials, the accused copied the original email sent from the Directorate of Elementary Education to the Taekwondo Federation, creating a similar-looking email ID.

Using this account, they were able to submit favorable verification reports for candidates with forged sports certificates to aid in their recruitment.

A case has been lodged at the SOG Police Station under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, and 120-B of the IPC, along with Section 66-D of the IT Act.

Rajasthan Deputy Superintendent of Police Babulal Murariya is conducting the investigation, supervised by Deputy Inspector General of Police (SOG), Paris Anil Deshmukh.

Preliminary findings also suggest that intermediaries were involved, arranging fake sports quota certificates in exchange for substantial sums of money, indicating that further arrests may occur as the investigation continues.
