MCG Commissioner Ashok Kumar Garg, accompanied by officials, inaugurated this important campaign at Iffco Chowk, Millennium City Center Metro Station, and Rajiv Chowk, emphasizing the importance of maintaining cleanliness.

Garg stated that MCG is dedicated to keeping the city clean, aesthetically pleasing, and eco-friendly. He encouraged residents to assist in maintaining cleanliness and contribute to an encroachment-free environment.

“This cleanliness initiative has been initiated by the civic body, and the involvement of the citizens is crucial. It is our collective duty to ensure that, like our homes and workplaces, we also care for the cleanliness of our public spaces,” Garg remarked.

He urged everyone not to litter, adding that the administration aims to transform Gurugram into a clean, beautiful, green, and improved city through collaborative efforts and contributions from all.

In addition, Additional Municipal Commissioner Mahavir Prasad mentioned that this initiative will be conducted in phases, focusing on cleaning and beautifying key areas while also addressing encroachments.

“This campaign extends beyond just cleanliness; it encompasses vital elements such as plantation, public awareness, and active citizen involvement,” he stated.

He also noted that similar initiatives will be implemented in other parts of the city shortly.

“We urge citizens to engage with the corporation’s efforts and integrate cleanliness into their daily lives. A clean and green Gurugram is a shared responsibility,” he added.

Former Sarpanch of Chakkarpur village, Mahesh Yadav, commended the cleanliness campaign, describing it as a valuable step toward a cleaner and more beautiful city and an effective means of raising societal awareness.

Yadav also implored locals not to view this campaign as a one-time event but to adopt it into their everyday routines.

“This special cleanliness initiative by the MCG is not only vital for environmental protection but also fosters a sense of responsibility among citizens,” he concluded.
