Micron India Delegation Engages with Rajasthan Chief Minister

Jaipur, Dec 1 (NationPress) A delegation from Micron India met with Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma at his official residence on Saturday. The delegation briefed the Chief Minister about the semiconductor facility being established in Gujarat. In this meeting, extensive discussions took place regarding the provision of job opportunities for skilled engineers, technicians, and operators from Rajasthan at the plant.

Sharma remarked that the youth of Rajasthan are carving a unique niche in various sectors through their skills and efficiency, thanks to their technical and higher education.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to facilitate Micron India in forming a partnership with the state's Industrial Training Institutes. This collaboration aims to develop essential training modules, ensuring that the youth are equipped with the necessary skills for employment in the company.

The delegation members highlighted that Micron India has operational plants in multiple countries worldwide. They assured that skilled youth from Rajasthan would also find outstanding job prospects in these global facilities. The Chief Minister expressed his satisfaction upon learning that the company is keen on investing in skill development initiatives within the state.

Present at the meeting were Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Ajitabh Sharma, Principal Secretary, Chief Minister's Office, Alok Gupta, Joint Secretary, Chief Minister's Office, Siddharth Sihag, along with Gursharan Singh, the Global Head of Assembly and Test Operations at Micron India, and Amarinder Sidhu.

It is noteworthy that representatives from several companies have been visiting Rajasthan in the lead-up to the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, which is set to take place from December 9-12.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Rising Rajasthan Global Summit in Jaipur on December 9.

Chief Minister Sharma noted that the three-day event will be inaugurated by PM Modi at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) located in Sitapura.

He stated that the state government is working diligently to finalize preparations and arrangements for the event.

Sharma reviewed the event preparations on Thursday, inspecting various arrangements from Jaipur Airport to the venue aboard a bus, and provided specific instructions to the officials. Sharma was accompanied by Industry Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and a team of officials.
