Bhopal, Feb 23 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Sunday that the Central government is dedicated to reducing medical expenses for every Indian, particularly for the economically disadvantaged.

“Our administration is focused on lowering treatment costs for all citizens, which were excessive before we took office in 2014. We promise to significantly reduce medical expenses for our citizens and will issue Ayushman cards to all eligible individuals, covering treatments up to Rs 5 lakh,” said the Prime Minister during the foundation stone laying of the Bageshwar Dham Medical and Science Research Institute in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatapur district.

PM Modi noted that various religious organizations are contributing to better health while offering spiritual guidance.

“Chitrakoot serves as a prime example. Visitors to Bageshwar Dham will receive the blessings of 'Aarogya' as well,” he remarked.

The Prime Minister mentioned that any Ayushman cardholder aged 70 or older is now eligible for free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh, urging everyone to obtain the Ayushman card promptly and encouraging individuals to contact him directly if they encounter any demand for bribes during the card issuance process.

He also motivated the populace to stay informed about various welfare initiatives and facilities provided by the Union government and to promote awareness regarding schemes like the Ayushman card.

During his visit to Bageshwar Dham, PM Modi received blessings from religious leaders and offered prayers at Jatashankar Mahadev.

To ensure enhanced healthcare services for everyone, the cancer hospital, with an investment exceeding Rs 200 crore, will provide free treatment to underprivileged cancer patients and will be equipped with advanced machinery and specialized doctors.

PM Modi is currently on a two-day trip to Madhya Pradesh, with plans to visit the state capital, Bhopal, from Bageshwar Dham.

In Bhopal, PM Modi will lead a meeting with BJP leaders at Kushabhau Thakare Auditorium. All BJP MPs and MLAs, along with the party's organizational heads, will participate in the meeting.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav remarked that during the meeting, PM Modi will share his insights and provide valuable guidance for the state’s progressive development.

“We are fortunate to seek PM Modi’s guidance,” the Chief Minister expressed.

PM Modi will stay overnight at the Raj Bhavan, making him the first Prime Minister in Madhya Pradesh to do so.

“This marks the first occasion a Prime Minister will spend the night at Raj Bhavan in Bhopal. The inaugural Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, visited Raj Bhavan during his time in Bhopal but stayed elsewhere. Hence, this will be a historic event for Madhya Pradesh,” the Chief Minister noted.

On Monday, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the two-day Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025 in Bhopal.

The GIS will serve as a crucial platform for establishing Madhya Pradesh as a global investment center. It will feature departmental summits and specialized sessions focusing on Pharma and Medical Devices, Transport and Logistics, Industry, Skill Development, Tourism, and MSMEs, among others. Additionally, it will incorporate international sessions such as the Global South conference, Latin America and Caribbean sessions, and special sessions for key partner nations.

Three major industrial exhibitions will also occur during the summit. The auto show will highlight Madhya Pradesh’s automotive prowess and future mobility solutions, while the textile and fashion expo will showcase the state’s capabilities in both traditional and modern textile manufacturing.

The ‘One District-One Product’ (ODOP) Village will display the unique craftsmanship and cultural heritage of the state. Representatives from over 60 countries, officials from various international organizations, and over 300 prominent industry leaders from India will also partake in the summit.
