Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, March 14 (NationPress) Responding to the Congress party's alarmist rhetoric, BJP leader Amit Malviya praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's composed leadership, strategic foresight, and commitment to an 'India first' policy, especially in light of the ongoing Iran conflict, which has enabled two Indian oil vessels to navigate the perilous Strait of Hormuz safely.
In a social media statement, Malviya, who oversees the BJP's National Information and Technology Department, remarked, “Both of our ships have successfully traversed the Strait of Hormuz. This serves as another illustration of how Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s diplomatic efforts operate subtly yet efficiently.”
He added, “This achievement follows shortly after the PM's dialogue with the Iranian President, highlighting India's balanced and credible interactions with all parties involved.”
Targeting the Congress for its unsuccessful critique of the government's foreign policy, Malviya stated, “Once again, the Congress apparatus that attempted to criticize the government over the Iran matter has been unmasked. Their alarmist narratives have been ridiculed by the facts.”
“Repeatedly, it is demonstrated that in a multifaceted global conflict, PM Modi stands out as perhaps the sole leader capable of credibly engaging all parties, safeguarding India's interests, and ensuring the safety of our citizens and assets. Composed leadership. Strategic foresight. India first,” he expressed.
Malviya also shared insights from former diplomat Syed Akbaruddin, who emphasized, “Many critics of the Government of India's foreign policy are fixated on whether India appears fearless. However, in a landscape dominated by weaponized hard power, the focus should be on maintaining operational flexibility. This is reflected in the Government's maneuvers regarding the Iran conflict, Chinese investments, and Russian oil.”
The BJP leader also included video snippets of Congress figures, such as Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Pawan Khera, Supriya Shrinate, and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, expressing concerns about Indian vessels not receiving the Iranian exemption to transit the Strait of Hormuz, similar to the special privileges granted to Russian and Chinese ships.
