Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 13 (NationPress) In a remarkable display of the BJP's growing presence in Kerala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared four social media posts, with three of them in Malayalam, marking a significant milestone as the party became the largest force in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, a first in the state's political history.

The Prime Minister's consistent use of the local language highlights the national significance that the BJP leadership attributes to this outcome, viewing it as a pivotal moment in Kerala's political landscape rather than just a local election win.

Expressing gratitude to voters statewide for their support of BJP-NDA candidates in the local body elections, PM Modi noted that the people of Kerala have become disillusioned with both the Congress-led UDF and the CPI(M)-led LDF, now recognizing the NDA as the only credible option for achieving effective governance and fostering a “Vikasita Keralam” — a developed Kerala that offers opportunities for everyone.

His posts in Malayalam were strategically directed at Kerala's electorate, indicating the BJP’s determination to strengthen its grassroots presence and establish itself as a formidable competitor in the state.

In another message, PM Modi referred to the mandate in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation as a “watershed moment” for Kerala's politics. He asserted that this verdict reflects the populace's belief that the state’s developmental goals can only be realized under BJP leadership, promising a focus on the capital city's growth while enhancing the ‘Ease of Living’ for its residents — a targeted appeal to urban voters ahead of upcoming electoral challenges.

The Prime Minister also took the opportunity to emphasize the party's organizational strength. Expressing his appreciation for the hard work of BJP activists, PM Modi stated that this victory is the result of decades of dedicated efforts by grassroots karyakartas across generations in Kerala.

“Our karyakartas are our strength; we take pride in them,” he remarked in another Malayalam post, which resonated deeply within the party ranks.

The fourth post, delivered in English, tied the narrative together, reinforcing the BJP’s claim that the Thiruvananthapuram outcome signifies a shift not only in the capital but also in Kerala’s broader political landscape.

Senior Union Ministers, including Rajnath Singh, Piyush Goyal, and Nitin Gadkari, quickly echoed PM Modi's sentiments, congratulating the Kerala unit on what they characterized as a historic breakthrough.
