Yadav made these remarks while addressing the ‘Raksha-Bandhan’ mahotsav (celebration) at Aamir Majestic Park in Bhopal, where he received a ceremonial rakhi from the women attendees.
"Regardless of whether it involves ‘love jihad’ or drug-related crimes, all such unlawful activities will be addressed with strictness, and every offender will be held accountable. The state government is dedicated to eliminating all forms of crime and ensuring absolute security for women," Yadav stated during his address.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is vigorously pursuing women’s empowerment. "The love of sisters is the greatest strength in my life," Yadav emphasized during the event.
He reiterated that prior to Raksha Bandhan, beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Yojana received their monthly payments along with an extra ₹250 festive gift. Starting from Bhai Dooj after Diwali, these beneficiaries will receive ₹1,500 each month. CM Yadav also stated that the Madhya Pradesh government is implementing a 35 percent reservation for women in government jobs.
He asserted that women’s involvement in democratic institutions, such as the Lok Sabha and Assembly, is on the rise.
Additionally, the CM announced that development initiatives worth ₹200 crore, including a sewer line project, will be executed in the Huzur Assembly constituency of Bhopal. Highlighting the government’s new industrial policy, the Chief Minister noted that women employed in industries, particularly in job-oriented sectors like garments, will receive an incentive of ₹5,000 per month.
