More Than 25 Injured in Bus Overturn Incident in Chhindwara, MP

Bhopal, Dec 3 (NationPress) More than 25 individuals sustained injuries when a bus they were traveling in flipped over in Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara on Tuesday morning.
A group of over 25 pilgrims, which included women, were promptly taken to a government hospital for medical attention, as reported by the police.
The mishap took place while the pilgrims were on their way back from a week-long pilgrimage to Kashi Vishwanath, Ayodhya, Mathura, and Vrindavan.
The journey commenced on November 27 from Chhindwara, with a return planned for Tuesday.
The accident transpired near Kendriya Vidyalaya in the Chorai area between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. All those on board hailed from Chhindwara, with many pilgrims accompanied by their families.
The incident occurred when the bus driver lost control while trying to avoid a collision with an oncoming truck. Although the crash was averted, the bus overturned and landed in a nearby field.
Local residents rushed to the scene, assisting the pilgrims and transporting them to the hospital for care. The local police were also notified of the incident.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Prabhat Mishra and Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Saurabh Tiwari later arrived at the site.
Approximately half a dozen ambulances were dispatched to quickly transport the injured to the hospital, as confirmed by SDM Mishra.
He noted that more than two dozen passengers suffered injuries to their hands and legs, but fortunately, no fatalities were reported.
Authorities indicated that the passengers avoided serious injuries because the bus overturned while making a turn at a relatively low speed.
The driver and other staff members of the bus were apprehended at the scene and are currently being questioned, according to the police.
"All passengers have been rescued from the bus. The injured are receiving treatment at a government hospital. Additionally, arrangements were made to transport those pilgrims who were unharmed," SDM Mishra added.
