Satna, May 9 (NationPress) A head constable, Prince Garg, who suffered gunshot injuries in his barracks adjacent to the Jaitwara police station in Madhya Pradesh's Satna, tragically lost his life while receiving treatment.
According to a senior police officer, "He succumbed to his injuries on Friday morning at a private hospital in New Delhi." Despite medical efforts, the infection in his collarbone had worsened, the officer added.
"A report has been filed, and after the post-mortem examination, his body will be turned over to his family members," the officer stated.
The incident took place during the night of April 28-29, around midnight, within the police station premises.
Disguised with a mask, the suspect Adarsh Sharma alias Achchhu shot at Garg, hitting him near the shoulder before fleeing the scene.
Garg, who lived in the police barracks, had just returned from duty when he heard an unusual noise outside. Upon stepping out to investigate, he was confronted by Achchhu, who immediately opened fire.
