He noted that a significant number of Muslims have united in support of his leadership and the Indian government.

Earlier on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Sufi music festival 'Jahan-e-Khusro 2025', held at the Sundar Nursery in New Delhi. During the event, he extended greetings to the community on the commencement of the sacred month of Ramzan and characterized Islam as a faith rooted in brotherhood.

In an interview with IANS, the All India Sufi Sajjadanashin Council Chairman remarked that since Narendra Modi assumed the role of Prime Minister, he has participated in numerous events commemorating Sufi saints.

"Even during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he demonstrated a strong connection to Sufi saints. His dedication to these figures has been evident in many of his speeches. I welcome his participation in the 'Jahan-e-Khusro 2025' event, as it conveys a positive message," he stated.

Syed Naseeruddin Chishti mentioned that PM Modi's congratulations to the nation on the occasion of Ramzan have been warmly embraced by the populace.

During the 'Jahan-e-Khusro 2025' celebration, PM Modi commended renowned Sufi poet Amir Khusro and the Sufi traditions, he added.

He also stated, "I have listened to PM Modi's address, and I found it profoundly inspiring. The sentiments and ideas he conveyed about Sufi saints were extraordinary. I particularly appreciated that he has extensively studied Sufism and referenced verses from the esteemed Sufi saint Amir Khusro, who likened India to paradise. PM Modi aptly remarked that India is a garden of heaven where the hues of every culture thrive. This exemplifies our Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb (culture), which Sufi saints have always celebrated through messages of love and peace. Sufi saints have revealed the authentic essence of Islam, which promotes love and harmonious coexistence.

When asked about the impact of PM Modi's message on Muslims, the All India Sufi Sajjadanashin Council Chairman stated: "It will undoubtedly yield a very favorable effect on the Muslim community. The perspectives of Muslims have evolved significantly. Muslims stand firmly with PM Modi. He is the leader of the entire nation, representing 140 crore people. Under PM Modi's guidance, our country is advancing and poised to emerge as a global power. The entire nation should heed PM Modi's address from Friday.

Syed Naseeruddin Chishti concurred with PM Modi's principle of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' and asserted: "India boasts the largest democracy in the world. The government is committed to the development of all. PM Modi's slogan since the inception of his term as Prime Minister has been 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Samman'. The Modi administration is undertaking commendable initiatives.

He remarked that certain political factions and leaders aim to prevent Muslims from joining forces with PM Modi.

"Muslims stand with the Prime Minister of the nation and the Central government; they are aligned with the nation's progress, unity, and integrity," he added.

Dismissing the notion that ordinary Muslims oppose PM Modi, Syed Naseeruddin Chishti asserted: "Some individuals portray an image that the BJP-led Union government and PM Modi are 'anti-Muslim', but this is untrue. Considerable progress has been made in the last 10 years.

"There has been no bias in the welfare schemes implemented by the Central government over the past decade. Development has accelerated, and job opportunities are available for all.

"The Indian Muslim is not easily swayed by anyone. The Muslims of India are a discerning and responsible community. They also comprehend their obligations toward the Government of India.

Syed Naseeruddin Chishti emphasized: "The Muslims of the country are prepared to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Indian government. Muslims advocate for the nation's advancement.

"The Muslims of the country fully accept PM Modi's leadership. PM Modi is elevating the nation to a global stature, and words cannot adequately express our appreciation.

He also remarked, "PM Modi should engage in as many programs organized by Muslims as possible; it is essential to foster direct interaction with them. This will dispel the misconceptions perpetuated by detractors. I am confident that PM Modi will continue to engage openly with Muslims and express his views in this manner."
