Named after the steadfast Aravali Range, INS Aravali will enhance various information and communication centers essential for both India and the Indian Navy's command, control, and Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) framework.
Emphasizing the motto ‘Maritime Security through Collaboration’, this Naval Base exemplifies a collaborative spirit, working in unity with naval units, MDA centers, and allied partners, as noted in the official statement.

Thus, the crest reflects the unwavering commitment of the base to ensure constant vigilance in safeguarding India’s maritime interests.
Earlier on the same day, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh launched the Indian Army Sailing Vessel (IASV) Triveni via video conferencing from New Delhi.
A team of ten women officers is set to cover over 26,000 nautical miles during this voyage, marking a historic first-ever tri-service expedition. The vessel formally departed on September 11.
“This marks the first instance where women officers from all three services—the Army, Navy, and Air Force—are embarking on a mission to sail around the globe, united under a single flag and purpose,” stated Singh.
The Defence Minister expressed confidence, stating: “I am sure our daughters will complete this mission, showcasing the indomitable spirit of Indian women. This journey is more than a mere sea voyage; it is a testament to discipline, courage, and resilience. Challenges may arise, but the light of determination within you will conquer all. Upon your return, you won’t just have circumnavigated the oceans—you will have set a new record for India.”
