The delegation received a warm welcome from Gujarat Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhary, who underscored the long-standing cultural and spiritual connections between India and Nepal. The discussions during the visit focused on their mutual democratic values, traditions, and the increasing cooperation between the two countries.
In his address, Speaker Chaudhary stated, “Since the era of the then Chief Minister and current Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat has experienced continuous and transformative growth. From rapid industrialization to successful initiatives like the Vibrant Gujarat Summits and rural development projects like the Narmada Dam -- Gujarat’s development story has become a national model.”
He also highlighted Gujarat’s accomplishments in social sectors, mentioning cooperative success stories such as Amul, advancements in education through institutions like NFSU, PDEU, and Children’s University, along with the positive impacts of initiatives like Beti Bachao, literacy drives, and the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
