Ayodhya, Feb 25 (NationPress) A significant influx of devotees continues to pour into the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Tuesday, just one day ahead of Maha Shivratri, as pilgrims arrive in large numbers to offer their prayers.

The spiritual zeal has captured the holy city, with thousands of worshippers making their way after taking a sacred dip at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj.

The remarkable turnout has resulted in heavy traffic on vital religious routes, including the Janmabhoomi Path, Hanuman Garhi, and the roads leading to the Ram Temple, filled with worshippers.

Authorities are working tirelessly to handle the surge, with senior officials managing crowd control and ensuring the smooth flow of pilgrims throughout the night. Numerous devotees have made direct trips from Prayagraj to Ayodhya in their profound spiritual dedication.

For over a month, Ayodhya has been experiencing an unparalleled influx of devotees, aligning with the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, which attracted millions of visitors.

Among the visitors is Ram Prasad Pokherela, a devotee from Nepal, who shared his joy after visiting the temple with his family.

"We traveled from Kathmandu, took a sacred dip in the Triveni Sangam, and then made our way here to receive Lord Ram's blessings. The temple is magnificent, and we feel incredibly blessed to be here," he told IANS.

Vikas Pokherela, another devotee from Nepal, echoed similar feelings, stating to IANS, "We are visiting all significant religious sites, from Prayagraj to the Ram Temple. The newly constructed temple is grand and breathtaking. We have offered our prayers and are profoundly moved by the experience."

As the visitor numbers continue to rise, local authorities have ramped up crowd management strategies to ensure safety and ease of access to the temple.

Previously, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the spiritual and infrastructural evolution in the state, citing Ayodhya, Kashi, and Prayagraj as representations of India's burgeoning potential.

He attributed the revival of India's cultural heritage and global prominence to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

Emphasizing the substantial increase in visitor numbers, the Chief Minister highlighted that the count of devotees visiting Ayodhya has risen from 2.35 lakh in 2016-17 to over 14-15 crore in 2024, showcasing not only the growing reverence for faith but also the rapid economic development of the region.
