Patna, Dec 30 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, conducted an inspection of various sections within the newly established Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Science City located in Patna on Tuesday.
Covering an area of 21 acres in Rajendra Nagar, Patna, the Chief Minister meticulously examined the entire complex, which includes numerous galleries and scientific exhibits. He also interacted with children present at the facility, motivating them to delve into science with a sense of curiosity and excitement.
During his visit, Kumar Ravi, the Secretary of the Building Construction Department, provided the Chief Minister with insights regarding the various facilities and arrangements available at the Science City.
He highlighted that the centre features five science-themed galleries, 269 interactive scientific exhibits, an auditorium, a 4D theatre, and accommodation facilities for both students and teachers.
Expressing his contentment with the construction, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar remarked that the Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Science City is exceptionally well-built and embodies innovative and unique concepts.
“This modern hub of science and innovation is designed to attract individuals of all ages and stands as a remarkable centre for learning about science and technology in the country,” stated Kumar.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the Science City aims to foster scientific awareness among the youth.
He added that students visiting the centre will find it easier to grasp the fundamentals of science, scientific endeavors, and principles, thereby enhancing their interest in science and innovation.
Accompanying the Chief Minister during his inspection were his Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar, the Secretary of the Building Construction Department, Secretary to the Chief Minister Kumar Ravi, Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr Chandrashekher Singh, Patna Divisional Commissioner Animesh Parashar, District Magistrate Dr Tyagarajan S.M., Patna SSP Kartikeya Sharma, among other senior officials.
In addition, another science centre situated at Gandhi Maidan in Patna is recognized as the oldest science centre in Bihar.
