No Signs of Potential Alliance with JD(U) for Delhi Elections: Virendra Sachdeva

New Delhi, Dec 27 (NationPress) There are no signs indicating a potential alliance between the BJP and the Janata Dal (United) for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, stated Virendra Sachdeva, the city BJP President, on Friday. He noted that any decision, if necessary, would be determined by the party's Central leadership.

In an interview with IANS, Sachdeva expressed that grassroots workers believe that party leaders who have been actively engaged with the public should be prioritized.

Previously, Sachdeva criticized the AAP and Congress for their corrupt practices and described them as mutual benefactors.

He asserted that the two parties are staging a “friendly fight” to deceive voters during the Assembly elections, stating that they are merely two sides of the same coin.

Sachdeva remarked, “Congress exploited Delhi for 15 years before the AAP government extended its web of corruption over a decade. The BJP has been combating both these parties, which are each other’s 'B-team'.”

“Facing a significant loss in the Assembly elections, the two INDIA bloc partners are attempting to target a specific vote bank to secure a few seats and maintain their relevance in Delhi politics,” he added.

Sachdeva mentioned that AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Congress leader Ajay Maken are long-standing allies who previously formed a coalition government in Delhi and supported each other during the recent Lok Sabha elections.

He questioned, “Where was the rivalry between these two parties when Kejriwal was transporting Congress candidates during the Lok Sabha elections and soliciting votes for them?”

Sachdeva further argued that AAP leaders like Kejriwal and Atishi, who were seen shaking hands with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, are now pretending to be rivals.

“Voters must remember that casting a vote for AAP in the Assembly elections equates to voting for Congress and vice versa. Only the BJP has been combating these two corrupt parties for the last 26 years and will continue to do so,” he concluded.

Sachdeva's recent accusations regarding a potential alliance between AAP and Congress came after a similar claim made by Chief Minister Atishi about the BJP financing the election campaigns of certain Congress candidates in the city.

The Delhi BJP asserted that voters in the city are determined to hold both corrupt parties accountable. “Delhiites have resolved to establish a double-engine government in the city under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he stated.
