After the meeting, Majhi expressed that the 2026–27 budget will be crafted as a genuine ‘People’s Budget’, reflecting the views gathered from all stakeholders and prioritizing the needs of the citizens of Odisha.
“Our administration is a government for the people. The opinions of our citizens are paramount. Hence, the budget formulation process has transitioned from the Secretariat to the community. By seeking valuable feedback from the public and conducting thorough evaluations, we are incorporating these suggestions into the budget. This will truly be a people-centric budget,” declared CM Majhi.
He further noted that the recently introduced Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivaha Yojana was developed based on community feedback.
The Chief Minister also highlighted that future initiatives, including the Shri Jagannath Darshan Programme and the Cuttack–Bhubaneswar–Paradeep–Puri Economic Corridor plan, were conceived from public input.
CM Majhi emphasized that his government is making necessary adjustments in policies, schemes, and programs based on public suggestions.
He urged citizens from all backgrounds to contribute their insightful suggestions and opinions on various government initiatives and announcements.
Majhi acknowledged that under the visionary guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Odisha has experienced remarkable industrial growth, job creation, and economic advancement.
Initiatives focused on the public by the Central Government and steps taken by the state government for women and farmers have invigorated the rural economy.
He noted several significant measures have been proposed for Odisha in the Union Budget 2026–27. The state government has received numerous valuable suggestions through various channels for the preparation of the 2026–27 budget.
Majhi affirmed that in a people-driven government, public sentiments will be prioritized, and programs will be tailored to meet the community’s needs.
He instructed that all constructive feedback obtained during the discussions should be recorded by relevant departments and reviewed thoroughly for consideration.
