Pakistani Intruder Captured Near LoC in Poonch, J&K

Jammu, Dec 12 (NationPress) A Pakistani intruder was taken into custody near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, officials reported on Thursday.
The authorities stated that the intruder, originating from the Pakistani side, was captured by the Army close to the LoC on Wednesday.
The individual has been identified as 18-year-old Mohd Sadiq.
"He attempted to infiltrate into the Indian territory of the LoC when he was intercepted in Noorkote village nearby the border fence in Poonch," the officials mentioned.
“He was unarmed and did not possess any incriminating items. Interrogations are underway to determine his motive for crossing the LoC. It seems he may have crossed the LoC by mistake,” the officials noted.
The Army and security personnel have increased their surveillance along the LoC and in the surrounding areas, particularly following a series of heinous attacks by terrorists orchestrated by their handlers across the border.
Intelligence reports suggest that the terrorist handlers are becoming increasingly impatient due to the peaceful and participatory Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly elections, which were observed by diplomats from various nations.
Additionally, it has been reported that terrorists may be poised at the terror launch pads in areas of Pakistan under occupation, ready to infiltrate into Indian territory before heavy winter snowfall closes the mountain passes.
Security forces have initiated robust operations against terrorists, their over-ground workers (OGWs), and sympathizers to dismantle the terrorism infrastructure.
Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has presided over high-level security review meetings, issuing explicit directives to the forces aimed at eradicating terrorism from the Union Territory.
Consequently, additional deployments of paramilitary forces have been made in the UT to strengthen the existing anti-terrorism framework in J&K.
