He paid a visit to the Dada Bhairav Temple to offer his prayers and will subsequently honor the memory of his father, the former Chief Minister of Delhi, Sahib Singh Verma, at Ghevra village.
In his remarks to journalists, Verma attributed his electoral triumph to the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"The Bharatiya Janata Party and PM Modi have given me the chance to run for election in New Delhi. All the seats have been secured by the BJP. I express my gratitude to the entire Delhi populace for ensuring the BJP's victory," he stated.
Stressing the party's dedication to progress, he remarked, "This administration will serve rural Delhi and the entire city, encompassing all neighborhoods. The dreams of our leader Sahib Singh Verma, which were left unfulfilled, will now be realized."
Discussing future initiatives, Verma noted, "We will advance PM Modi's vision. Delhi faces numerous challenges, and substantial work lies ahead. My village has consistently been my backbone. We aim to transform Delhi into a capital we can all take pride in."
Verma, who has served two terms as the Member of Parliament for West Delhi, comes from a robust political lineage. His father, Sahib Singh Verma, was a Chief Minister of Delhi, and his uncle, Azad Singh, has held significant municipal roles. Sahib Singh Verma was also one of only three BJP Chief Ministers in Delhi's history.
His victory against Kejriwal signifies a pivotal change in the political landscape of Delhi, further solidifying the BJP's influence in the national capital.
