This pivotal move aims to significantly enhance the textile sector in the region.
This undertaking is part of a larger vision involving seven textile hubs strategically planned across the nation under the PM MITRA initiative.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will also unveil two major initiatives: ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar’ (Healthy Women, Empowered Families) and the eighth Rashtriya Poshan Maah (National Nutrition Month), which aim to fortify the nation’s health and nutrition services, particularly focusing on women, children, and adolescents.
From September 17 to October 2, over one lakh health camps will take place nationwide, marking the largest health outreach campaign in India’s history. These camps will offer essential preventive, promotive, and curative health services tailored for women, including screenings for non-communicable diseases, anaemia, tuberculosis, sickle cell disease, maternal health check-ups, immunizations, and nutrition counseling.
Specialized healthcare services in fields like gynaecology, pediatrics, dermatology, ENT, and psychiatry will be mobilized through both public and private medical institutions. Nationwide blood donation drives will be conducted, with donors registered via the e-Raktkosh portal and facilitated through the MyGov platform.
Accompanying the Prime Minister will be Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.
In a significant move for maternal welfare, the Prime Minister will digitally transfer financial support under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, which will directly benefit nearly 10 lakh women across the nation.
Additionally, he will introduce the Suman Sakhi Chatbot, designed to deliver timely and precise health information to pregnant women in rural and remote areas, enhancing awareness regarding maternal and child health.
