Kaimur, April 16 (NationPress) A total of 70 individuals have secured employment in Bihar's Kaimur through the PM-POSHAN scheme, expressing their heartfelt appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this initiative.

Some of the beneficiaries of this program shared their experiences with IANS, detailing their responsibilities and extending their thanks to PM Modi for the opportunity.

An official reported that all 70 employees under this scheme are responsible for preparing meals, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering food to various schools in Patna Mod, Bailodi Panchayat within the Mohania block of the district. The food is prepared in a sanitary environment, supported by a semi-automatic machine.

Nisha Devi, one of the workers, expressed gratitude, noting that eight women have found employment through this initiative. 'We scrub the floors, wash the dishes, and clean the rice,' she stated.

Sameer Ansari, who is also preparing for competitive exams while working at the center, thanked PM Modi for the job opportunity.

Ansari mentioned that this part-time role allows individuals to study for competitive exams while working.

The kitchen supervisor, Akhlaq Ahmed, highlighted that numerous students employed here have successfully secured government positions due to their commitment.

Regarding the daily food offerings, he shared: 'We serve a variety of dishes. On Mondays, we provide rice, mixed dal, and green vegetables, while Tuesdays feature jeera rice and soybean vegetable.'

Ahmed expressed appreciation to PM Modi for not only providing jobs but also for ensuring access to food for those in need.

He emphasized the challenging financial situations faced by many students, which often limits their access to pulses and vegetables.

For those unfamiliar, the PM POSHAN scheme is a centrally-funded initiative providing meals to 11.20 crore students in Balvatika and Classes I to VIII across 10.36 lakh government and aided schools on school days.

The program aims to offer nutritional support and boost student attendance. Recently, the Ministry of Education announced a 9.50 percent increase in 'Material Cost,' which will take effect from May 1 across all states and union territories.
