New Delhi, Feb 15 (NationPress) President Murmu will be present at the 75th anniversary celebrations of the Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra in Ranchi this Saturday.

This esteemed occasion commemorates 75 years of excellence in academics, research, and technological advancements at the institute.

The visit of the President has led to comprehensive security arrangements and modifications to the city's traffic system to facilitate smooth operations.

The festivities are set to take place at BIT Mesra, where President Murmu will engage in the commemorative activities on Saturday.

Ranchi's Deputy Commissioner, Manjunath Bhajantri, is supervising the arrangements for the visit, collaborating with officials to handle logistics and security. A significant security force comprised of 10 IPS officers and approximately 1,000 police personnel has been stationed throughout the city.

During her stay, President Murmu will be accommodated at the Raj Bhavan, and all necessary security protocols have been implemented to ensure a safe experience for her and the public.

In response to the elevated security, several adjustments have been made to the city’s traffic patterns. From 6 am to 10 pm, vehicles are barred from entering certain zones, and the access of large vehicles is curtailed. Between 3 pm and 7 pm, small cargo vehicles will also be prohibited in the city. Designated routes have been established for vehicles heading toward Kanke, Ratu, Kanthitand, Daladli, and Kathal Mor from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Moreover, traffic around critical areas such as Airport Road, Hinoo Chowk, Birsa Chowk, and Raj Bhavan Mor will be minimized. Vehicles arriving from Kanke Road, Ratu Road, Kathal Mor, and Kanthidand will be redirected to alternate routes including Kanke Ring Road, Lalpur Chowk, and Kantatoli Road.

The authorities encourage residents to comply with the traffic alterations and collaborate with the security teams for the event's successful execution.
