Proactive Measures by Modi Administration to Restore Indian Heritage and Culture: Union Minister

New Delhi, Dec 13 (NationPress) Union Minister for Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Pralhad Joshi has asserted that the central government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has undertaken significant initiatives aimed at revitalizing Indian heritage, religion, and culture.
He made these remarks during the Shri Veerabhadreshwara Jayanti celebration organized by the Veerashaiva Lingayat Coordination Forum of Bengaluru at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi on Friday.
Joshi stated that individuals who chant “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Hindustan Ki Jai” are encouraged to come together. He emphasized that, unlike certain individuals, they are not politicizing these sentiments. The preservation of Sanatana Dharma and tradition, which focuses on the welfare of all, remains the government’s priority, and it will steadfastly pursue this mission.
He pointed out that under PM Modi’s guidance, efforts for cultural revitalization have been implemented nationwide, with initiatives at significant sites such as Kashi Vishwanath, Mahakal Ujjain, and the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Joshi stressed that Indian heritage and culture are essential for global peace, harmony, and prosperity. The noble principle of “Loka Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu” (May all beings be happy), rooted in Sanatana Dharma and culture, is what the world urgently needs today.
India stands as the sole nation that promotes peace through religion, aiming for the welfare of humanity. To safeguard such a remarkable culture, the government has made cultural revival a priority, he mentioned.
Joshi criticized those who seek to eliminate Sanatan Dharma for political advantage, likening it to a virus.
He cautioned that politics should not interfere with the preservation of Indian Sanatan Dharma and culture.
Expressing his concerns, he noted that assaults on Indian culture are originating not only from outside but also from within the nation. Some individuals, driven by animosity, are attacking Hindu society, the nation, Sanatana Dharma, traditions, and culture.
He conveyed that certain factions do not wish for India to advance and are making relentless efforts to dismantle Sanatana Dharma and culture through societal division. He called for a collective effort to confront these challenges.
Joshi refuted the notion that India was not a cohesive nation before British colonial rule, asserting that India has been culturally united for millennia, with substantial evidence to corroborate this assertion.
He added that the government has launched the “Ramayana Circuit” and is enhancing facilities for pilgrims visiting ancient temples, including improving railway connectivity across various regions of the country.
The event was attended by Niranjan Gurusiddha Rajayogi Swamiji of Hubballi’s Moorusavira Math, Jayashantalinaga Swamiji of Hire-Naganav Shantalingeshwar Math, Chandrashekhar Shivacharya Swamiji of Hukkeri Math, and Shivlinga Murugha Rajendra Shivacharya Swamiji, the National President of the Shri Veerabhadreshwara Jayanti Committee.
Also present at the event were Union Minister of State V. Somanna, MPs Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, B.Y. Vijayendra, Govind Karjol, and Sagar Khandre, among other dignitaries.
